I Should Make You Sign a Waiver

I should make you sign a waiver
because when you see this
you could die from the cuteness!
And if that doesn't do it,
you could die from the disappointment.

I have a stalker.
I know, you're jealous right?
Bev has been blog stalking me for quite some time.
And we email back and forth.
I've been calling her Gladys Kravitz
and she calls me Samantha.
And she is hilarious.

She doesn't look like that though.
She looks like this:

But in real life, she's probably not this blurry.
But I've never met her so I can't be sure.
I took this pic from her Blogger profile.

But from looking at this picture you can tell that
1) She reads books
2) She plays the piano
3)  She only wears black slacks
4)  She weaves giant rugs

Actually I have no idea if any of that is true.
Just work with me here, people.

Anyway, I received a package from her in the mail today.
Look what she made for me.
Ready to die from the cuteness of it all?

Tea Towels!
Or as Bev calls them,
Completely useless non-absorbent towels.
Click on the images to see them up enlarged.

Look Closer:

Embroidered in Aqua and Red!
My two favorite colors.

I am in love with these.
I would marry them if I could.
Shoot, I would even marry Bev if I could.

***Awkward Pause***

So, did the cuteness kill ya?

Here's the disappointment.

Bev does not have a blog.

I know, right???!!

I've been trying to convince her to get started
and join the ranks.
But she's holding out on us.

So, what I am asking you to do is,
if you leave a comment on this post,
can you write it for Bev.
And tell her she needs to start a blog?
And an Etsy shop?

Because, really, who wouldn't buy one of these?
Or two?
Doesn't every blogger need a completely useless
non-absorbent tea towel with your name on it?

I know I did.

Gladys,
You are awesome!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank You!

Sam

Totally adorable, lovin' the retro mixer! Such a fun gift-enjoy! That stack of pots looks like my house, only they'd be dirty stacked at the sink:@)

Okay - here goes.

BEV: It's the 21st century if I'm counting right. Blogging has arrived to the happiness of a kagillion women . . . oh...and those two men I heard about. You'll find it refreshing, lots more fun that weaving those pesky large rugs and a whole source of satisfaction because you have all those great cyber friends to vent to and they don't ever shun you for doing it - like a certain nameless brother of moi. It's something you will be wishing you had when you were a brand new wife with all those yummy secrets and later with children you (I) didn't know what to do with and they had no on/off button to push.

And the best reason?

If you're a friend of Holly's, you're a friend of ours.

There. And those towels are danged adorable, too.

Go for it, Bev!
But forget those cute little non-absorbent tea towels...I am so impressed with the rug! Amazing! That must have taken you ages to make!
:)

Is Bev the only one I'm not allowed to boss around or is it everybody? I keep forgetting.

Bev, you'll never regret blogging. Really! Except when Holly steals you're picture and exposes you to the masses. Love the tea towels. You must blog, really, you must.
Jo

No, Holly, you boss everyone whether you're supposed to or not. It's what you do best.

Bev you are free to stalk me at anytime. I freely give out my address to stalkers. Kidding. Those are just adorable and how sweet you were to send them to Holly.

Looks like your 'stalker' has a lovely embroidery machine! How CUTE CUTE are they???? And what a sweetie to make them for little old YOU, Holly!

BEV: if you blog, be aware that there will be 'stalkers' galore. They'll want to peek at how you made that AWESOME RUN you are standing on. I know I do!

Holly...you are now officially (in my mind) MISS BOSSY SOCKS. In red and turquoise, of course.

Hey Gladys!

The dish towels are, as Sam said, "to die for"! L-O-V-E them! I would definitely buy one if you had an etsy shop. I hope you find the desire to start blogging; it's fun!

Okay, Bev, if I can blog, you can blog. I admit I'm not the best blogger in the world. I tend to want to read others blogs instead of writing in my own.

But you know what??? If you're scared you're not going to know what to do, I can tell you that was my problem. I had posted a note on a bloggers comment form abaout the fact I'd like to have a blog but was intimidated. Next thing I knew, the blogger e-mailed me and said something like "if you want to have a blog, I'll help you set it up." In actuality, she DID set it up. And she gave me some basic instructions on how to write my posts, and the rest I've learned as I've been going along. I have a very few followers (30?) and that's not my goal (to have followers), and I'm sure part of my problem with followers is my lack of posting (and lack of photos, but that's another issue).

With the talents you have, you DEFINITELY need to have a blog. I'm sure Holly will help you. Come up with a snazzy name, she can work with you, and next thing you know, you'll be so happy. I mean "SO SO SO HAPPY".

Trust me. I wouldn't lie to you. I promise.

I think Holly really took a chance giving a complete stranger her home address.

In fact, I think it shows so much lack of common sense, that it scares me for her.

All it took was for me to tell her I wanted to send something to her.

So she just e-mails me her home address.

Not some p.o. box.

Then after she sent me her address, I told her that maybe I would just drop it off some time.

When I’m just driving back and forth in front of her house anyway.

And I live in Dallas.

And she said, “Well, Silly, stop and come on in!”

Holly, how would you know my real name isn't Big Bubba and I'm out on a work release program?

Or a technicality, for that matter.

All I can say is: I hope you have adult supervision.

To clear things up, Holly's imagination about my life is quite active where I'm concerned.

Except that I really am blurry.

On to another matter - you sweet people have just knocked me over. You've been so wonderful and encouraging that I'm feeling kind of Hollyish - I'd just like to invite you all over to my house for brunch tomorrow.

Say, 11?
