I decided that I needed to get some color in my house.
I love color.
I don't know why I don't use it very often in my home.
I shopped the house and put some summer into it.
This table was out on the patio.
It was black.
I spray painted it and brought it into the living room.
My husband said, "Isn't that the patio table?"
I said, "Yes, it is."
He said, "Isn't that kind of a redneck thing to bring your patio furniture inside?"
I said, "No, it's only redneck if you move your living room furniture outside."
What do I know, maybe it is.
Maybe I don't care.
I found a use for an old wood box I've had for a while,
I'm using it to hold my books.
An old end table was also brought in from the back patio.
In the kitchen, I spray painted a lazy susan that I had found at GW and now it holds what I use on a daily basis right next to the stove.
And cut flowers brighten everything up.
Have you changed up your house for the summer?

you're so crafty,, and the words you write to go with it are so funny!!I love that lazy susan, (well I love it all) but that lazy susan is the best color,,
I see you also straightened out your banner, good work! Love love love the books in the box. I think your definition of "red neck" is spot on, cause I bring stuff in all the time and my neck is not red, only the rest of the house!
I love it all! What a great idea to bring in an outdoor table as a side table--totaly belly laughed on the redneck comment!
I love color too, Holly. I grew up in a house with white walls and tan carpets. The second my then-boyfriend now husband bought his house (now ours) and we started decorating it, we instantly decided to paint every room a different color, all of them bold.
By the way, I totally love your lamps. I'm AWFUL at picking out lighting fixtures.
By the way, I assume you're in a part of Arizona that's safe from the fires? Take care out there.
Your house looks SO cute! And no, it's not redneck at all to bring a cute table in like that! I love all the flowers and bright colors, so Summery!
Love it. Being neck is great in my book. Love how you painted the lazy susan too. But what I do love is the colorful set of canisters on your counter top.
ohhh so many ideas!! I love it all. I especially love the lamp shade in the photo towards the end
:)
Morning Holly. I love the painted table, and the lazy susan! I change things up in my house ALL the time!!! My Mom and I used to say we would have driven Helen Keller mad with the way we moved furniture!!! I am in the process of adding my summer touches to my home. More on that later.
Hugs
I really love your little touches of color! The baby lazy susan is my favorite!
Aw, I love your little color-splashes! And you're right - it's only red neck to bring your indoor furniture outside (like putting a sofa on the front porch or something). How do I know this is true? Because right before I read where you wrote that I was thinking it... so it must be true.
My inbox is full? My computer is possessed. Thanks for telling me.
Love yoru spray painting!
I've been doing a little of that myself. Once I spray a few things, I start walking around my house thinking, hmmm, what can I paint next???
Love the blue lazy susan in your kitchen! Great way to add in some color without spending a lot.
And now I REALLY want a rice krispie treat!
Love the blue lamp!!
I have the same animal cookie tin in my house! And hey, the patio table looks WONDERFUL!
Yep, I change out things in my house for the seasons. Have done it all my life (well, married one that is). Just did the bedroom in Shabby Chic and ordered a new bedskirt (they don't call them 'dust ruffles' anymore). White and rose/pink and sage green. My husband just goes along with it!
You home is cheerful, Holly. Like you!

ah, dear friend. you bring color into my life. :) I, too... love you more today than yesterday. (yesterday you really pissed me off). haha. JOking. you've never pissed me off. It's just i bought my grandfather a sign that said that. Glad you love me friend.
I used to have that animal cracker tin. Maybe one of you guys have my old one. (haha) Rick told me we were red neck because I put up a whirligig thingy in our back yard. Men! I love your colorful touches. Yes, Holly, it's only redneck if you put your couch on the front porch and have a car on jack stands in the front yard.
Hey girl...at least Brian noticed!! I want to paint my whole guest house after we move over to the new one...it needs it bad!
We call this shopping at home and we are usually pretty successful at it.
You're right. If your sofa's on your front lawn then that's redneck. lol I haven't updated my house in a long time and it's way overdue.
Very cute summery changes. I suppose I changed everything considering I moved all my stuff into storage but it's not quite the same.
Love the rice crispy treats. They are a great mid-morning treat.
Love love love the color. :) That shade of blue is a favorite.
And I linked to you today, sweet friend!! I just thought you might want to know. :)
Perfect for summer! I love all the colors!
lol you made me laugh about the redneck thing...lol...bringing the furniture outside! so true!!!
LOVE the lazy susan!!!!
OK, Im gonna work on some color this weekend!!!
Sure glad I'm not the only one that gets questioned about outdoor furniture coming in!
It looks great, all of it. And no I haven't yet, but it's on the list :)
Looks good, looks good! You make me giggle when you say it is only redneck to take your inside furniture out...you don't have a sofa on the front porch, do you? Love the littel green bee thingy on the lazy susan.
Looks like a lot of color to me...xo, Cheryl
