Beg, Borrow or Steal?

I can't get his quilt out of my head.
I found it on a blog yesterday.
I even had a dream about it last night.
So it should be mine.
I found it at The Beetle Shack.

I love everything about this quilt.
I can't quilt.
Anyone care to make it for me?
Anyone?
please...

I nominate my Mom too! Tammy I read all your blogs ... every single post...but it NEVER allows me to comment only on yours. It's so weird. Both from home & my desk top at work, Grrr.

Where did you see the quilt? I tried to click on the picture but it just made it bigger. It'd be kind of easy to piece. You could do that. Then just pay to have it quilted. Or, yes, hire Kris. She's marvelous. (Isn't she the Write On person??) You seemed kind of down on your comment on my blog. Are you OK? It felt as if your spunk was a little weak. Let me know. You know how uplifting I am.

If you're like me, you've fallen in love not only with the quilt, but with the colorway she chose. I could fall in love with something, and once I made it with entirely different fabrics, it just doesn't pull at my heartstrings the way the one I fell in love with does.

And if you end up making one, I have someone that you can contact to do the quilting. You'd love her prices.

Hi Hol!
Wish I could quilt it for ya, but I can not. My Mom made me a beautiful quilt when I got married. It has the state of CA and the state of ID and an arrow with a heart for jake and I. It's so neat. I just moved it into the motorhome for our bed in there.
Quilts really are such treasures.
Maybe you should learn to quilt! My Mom could give you a lesson when you are here in September! :)

First, I have to say...I read all the comments, and when I got to Gennifer's, I thought she said, Hi Ho!!! I did not see the l. I was going to have to spank her for calling you a Hoe! Sorry, I am laughing so hard here!! Now...about that quilt. Holly, it is so easy. That is strip pieced with large precut pieces called a jelly roll. Some of it is from a line of fabrics that I ADORE called Bliss. I just did a quilt in Bliss. If you can sew a straight line, you can make this quilt top. Then, you send it off to someone who has a long arm machine to have it quilted. Usually around 50 bucks to 100 depending on design and size of quilt. If you love those fabrics, print this pic out and take it to a local quilt shop and have them help you find the fabric. Don't wait, it will not be available if you do. Then, if you want, I can show you how when you are here!! DO IT!!

Interestingly, I have a similar one that I made a few years back. It's made with colors similar to this one, too. It is now under my bed. Because I made it with fabric I fell in love with (Amy Butler), but it doesn't go in my house. What was I (not) thinking? This is why I don't quilt anymore ~ I have no control over purchasing fabric that makes me swoon. Maybe you'd like to see it? I'll be right over.

Oh that is pretty and looks like it would be a cinch to make, all except the whole quilting part.

Holly my friend, this would be an easy one to make! Those are made of what's called a jelly roll, precut fabric!!!!!
Check out Fat Quater Shop online.
And hey, lets grab a few bloggy friends, i.e. Jo etc. and have a quilting bee!

It's a beautiful quilt. Although I don't quilt, my sister is a beautiful quilter and I've been the lucky recipient of some of her work. Hope you can find someone to do one for you. See you Thursday.
