It's All Fun and Games Until Someone Loses an Eye

I'm not above using my family's most embarrassing photos for blog material.

You are shocked, are you not?

I have no shame in doing this as long as I am not in the pictures.
My father entrusted me with the family photo album.
I have no idea what happened there, he used to be such a wise man.

When my sister and I were young, we spent every weekend
at our Grandparents house.
Every weekend!
We loved this.
We adored our grandparents and they enjoyed having us.

It never occurred to us that this was a rather strange situation.
Until just a couple of years ago.
My sister and I were talking and remembered those weekends.

"Why do you think we went to Grandma's every weekend when we were little?" I asked her.

"What were Mom and Dad doing when we were gone?" she asked.

Let's take a peek at the family photo album, shall we?

Now, I can't tell you exactly what was going on here.
But this was our living room.
Notice the lovely floral couch and the green shag carpet.
Apparently, this was a game where the husbands rolled up their pant legs and the wives were blindfolded and had to find their husbands by feeling their legs.
I'm not positive about this but I'm assuming that copious amounts of alcohol were involved.
I'm not judging.
We must remember, this was before the invention of Wii Bowling.
Before Pictionary.
But for crying out loud Dad!
They did have poker and ping pong in those days, didn't they??!!!

Are you sure it was not the famous "hairy leg fetish" game that was popular after copious amount of alcohol and the complete lack of pictionary?

Beats the heck out of bingo if you ask me.

Well I gotta say here . . . . technically I'm not a drinker.

However.

To get me to play that game and 'feelup' all those men's hairy legs, I would certainly start the habit just before the game started. It's the only thing that would keep me going.

So I suspected radical kinkiness before you explained. Color me smutty... Some day your children will have some bizarre photos of you to post to their blogs. I tried to think of a situation that you'd be captured in--I just couldn't wrap my warped, little mind around it.

OMG I have tears running down my face trying to imagine my parents playing this game. And let me say - I HOPE copious amounts of alcohol were involved :)

Actually, I think there is a Wii game called "Do You Think Your Hairy Legs Can Dance?"

hahahaha ha!
That is hilarious! It's always so cool (and funny) going back through old photos and coming across some that make you wonder "what the heck were they doing?" I love it!

I certainly hope large amounts of alcohol were involved. It's the only thing that makes this make sense. Otherwise, just ewwww.

This is a good reminder that we need to destroy everything that could be used against us by our children.

That made my day! I couldn't stop laughing...my parents did some pretty weird things at parties with their friends too...I think it must have been when we spent entire weeks with our Grandparents!

lol...but I have to say this is the strangest thing...I just wouldn't to feel up a bunch of hairy legs that I didn't know! Someone told me a couple of months ago that Larry's mom and dad were quite the party animals...to say I was shocked would be putting it mildly....sometimes ignorance is bliss!

Can you even imagine who might have invented this game and why?
Well, at least they are all having fun.
