Doomsday missed Cave Creek

Brian and I felt like taking a little drive today so we headed to Cave Creek,
which is Northeast of Phoenix.
It's a nice little drive and the weather was perfect.
We enjoyed looking through some of the shops.

Interesting finds.
Signs.
Aprons.
T-shirts
This shop was really interesting.
If you have been looking for monkeys to put on your roof, look no further.
I wanted these chairs.

After doing some walking we headed to a great little Mexican Restaurant.
Then we headed back out west to Waddell, which is west of Phoenix and pretty close to where we live now.
We stopped at this cute little house that was advertising Fresh Peaches.
And bought a few pounds.
And some lemons.
Watermelon, Corn on the cob, and strawberries.
On our way back to the house we drove past this field of beautiful roses.
By the way, it is 6:12 pm on May 21st.
I'm still here.
Are we all accounted for?
I'd like to be a fly on the wall at Harold's house right now.
I'll bet his wife is pissed.

what a nice day you had,, love the sights ,, just like a tour guide you are. What beautiful country side you live in.Its hard to imagine all that produce being harvested when we haven't even planted anything here yet.I was wondering what are the field of roses used for,, their scent?Could you smell them,, I've never saw a whole field of roses, we had wild roses growing along our driveway and garden growing up and they scented our whole yard.It must have been heavenly a whole field of them,

I hear Harold was 'off~d' earlier this evening. 6:01pm to be exact. The wife hasn't a clue as to what happened!!!!!

My friend here lived in Cave Creek for years. I had no idea it is so fun and rustic and full of interesting finds. BTW, did YOU get a monkey? Can't go wrong there!

Peaches already? Yum. We had some tonight, too. But they were out of the freezer from last Fall.

Sounds like your day was nice. Thanks for sharing your part of the world.

Hugs

Oooh what a nice day! Love the signs and the sights. Im sure those roses smelled wonderful. I love driving around Sun City too when the gardenias are blooming. Yumm.

Lemons! I need lemons and you know why!

Poor Harold... ahhh well. He will recoop. Btw USGS says there was a 6.1 earthquake in New Zealand at 9:17pm their time on May 21st. Harold could try to take credit for at least predicting they would have one and maybe the volcano that erupted today in Iceland too.

Another beUtiful day in the valley of the sun.

LOL! Yes. Poor Harold. I've been going to head up to Cave Creek because I know where some petroglyphs are up there. Blog fodder, you know. I also love those 'stores' up there. I just may have to stop and get the 'bad ass mother clucker' one. Too funny.

I think that field of roses is not far from my house on the 303, right? Did you wave as you went by? I love Cave Creek, but Rick, not so much. He has no class. That fruit sounds delicious. I need me some peaches, for sure.
