Thanks for your sweet comment! LOVE your recipe for a cool down! Will have to keep that in mind.....it's over 100 here today ~ not quite as hot as Phoenix, but HOT! Can't wait to meet you and all the other wonderful ladies in September! Stay cool and keep that supply of Diet Coke stocked! ;-)

For some reason, I am facinated by the socks.

Several years ago we had a discussion about adding a pool and my husband won. So I went to Walgreens, bought me a blow up kiddie pool, put on my swimsuit, poured myself a glass of wine and got in. It didn't phase him one bit. I still don't have a pool. Evidently over the years he has developed quite the immunity to whining.

You think holding your hand out in front of you like that is going to keep the water off??? Looks like a fun way to stay cool though.

You could have come over and swam with us and Barley. I mean she is a dog, but she's pretty clean. I love your redneck cool down. You guys really look good out there. At least you have grass. All we have are rocks. You've got on a Gunnarboo style hat. And look every bit as stylish as he does. Had fun Friday. It is blowing 60 mph right now and dust is filling our pool. We might have a mud bog by the 4th.

It's a scientific fact that sprinklers have far more "cool factor" than pools. Especially while wearing socks.

You guys rock.

I remember being 9 months pregnant (when your body temp goes up anyway) when we lived in Tucson. I thought I would melt. I would wear long pants, and long sleeves, hose myself down, and walk around like a self-contained evaporative cooler. Not especially attractive, but effective.

1. Nice hats
2. Who took the photos of you two?
3. What kind of sprinkler were you using?
4. You two are ingenious....if not a little strange.
5. I'd do this
6. Love you.......

Ha Ha! You remind me of Don and I and our idea to get a kids wading pool one year to keep cool...it was only big enough to sit in...which we did until our skin shriveled up!
