Saturdays are Made of This

Lazy Days.
Sleeping in.
Watching Lifetime Movies.
(or as Brian calls it "The crying channel")
Ordering a Ham and pineapple pizza.
Ignoring the dishes in the sink.
Not making the bed
because Saturdays are all about naps.
Playing this.
And having a nice cool summer treat for desert.

You have probably made a version of this yourself
since it's been around forever.
But it's a favorite around here in the summer
so I thought I'd share the recipe for you.

Easiest Pie Recipe Ever!

Lemon Ice Box Pie

1 graham cracker crust
2/3 c. fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 can sweetened condensed milk
18 oz. container Cool Whip

Mix lemon juice and sweetened condensed milk.
Add Cool Whip and beat until fluffy.
Pour into graham cracker crust and
refrigerate for at least two hours.
I like to garnish
with fresh strawberries.

It's truly yummy!
I've also seen it made with frozen lemonade
but I've never used it.

It's not too late,
I hear you can do this on Sundays too!

Have all the ingredients except the Cool Whip so I will be picking some up tomorrow. Guess what's for dessert.

I can't believe I had forgotten about all the icebox stuff, like Baked Alaskan and the one with those mint cookies. Hmmmmmm good.

No, I've never made that ice box pie. I have, however, eaten a whole can of condensed milk with a spoon. (I was younger then...) The recipe looks divine. Pineapple and Canadian bacon (ham) pizza is my fav. I have a real thing for pineapple lately. I fixed my background. Blogger and I were fighting again. I was truly lazy today also. I have nothing to show for my laziness.

I am still waiting for a lazy summer day. I am lazy, but my days aren't.

We had a lazy Saturday too - went downstairs for breakfast and realized it was already 11:30!! So we just gave in and relaxed for the rest of the day. So nice. I'm going to try out your recipe soon. Looks yummy!

Pie looks lovely.
And your day sounds lovely too.
Can I come over and do all that stuff too? Cuz it won't happen over here. ;)

I wish my Saturday's were lazy. I am forgetting what lazing about is like. It seems I never have enough time these days to get everything done.

I'll have to try the pie. I may be one of the few who has not had it.

I'll have two serving please. Has to be one of the easiest and bestest recipes around!

That pie looks amazing. What is it about fresh strawberries that makes everything look delish? :-)
