Lazy Weekend and Simple Mindedness

I'm pretty simple.
and I'm okay with that.

It doesn't take much to keep me entertained.
This is what we will be doing this weekend.
And some of this.

And I baked this banana bread.

But it's not these things that I'm referring to
when I tell you that I'm simple.

I'm also simple-minded.
There are so many things
out there that I don't understand.

Like, how does this billboard sell more storage units?

And how does this ad sell more jeans?

Have a great weekend!

Simple minded, my hiney!!! That ad for Calvin Klein makes me gag! Ugh!
Enjoy your puzzle! I could never still long enough to put one of those together! If I am sitting, my hands have to be busy, like knitting or something. I am itchy that way. Have a nice and relaxing weekend. I can't wait to see you my friend!!

You ask such difficult questions Holly. The answers are:

a. They don't
b. They don't

I think you're so simple that you are profound--profound, I say! That banana bread looks scrumptious. The puzzle makes me homesick for my used-to-be-mom. She love(d)s puzzles. Have a good weekend. I'm still working on the book room.

I guess I enjoy being simpleminded. The only thing I relate to here are the jig saw puzzles - love them - they've been a family tradition/activity since I was a kid - and the banana bread which I love.

Please don't tempt me with banana bread - I'm trying to eat less!! Is it just me, or is the second ad supposed to look as if she is a man using a urinal? (I haven't seen the ad, I'm just going by that photo)

That is such an... interesting jean ad! And I LOVE jigsaw puzzles - I used to do them with my grandma all the time!

Do you have cream cheese for the bread? If so, I'll be right there! YUM! I made a punkin' pie last night...(from a box, but still)...yummrs!
I haven't made chili- yet.

I don't understand those ads either.

Doing a jigsaw puzzle this weekend sounds great. I have no idea what I will be doing but I am sure it will involve a little of the second item. I have a zucchini that is almost ready for picking, shreading, and bread baking.

Enjoy your weekend activities and banana bread.

My word verification is hyporere.

You have got to wonder who the 'brain trusts' were behind those two ads. Really stupid...no wonder kids are so confused!!

We're staining the deck this weekend. Oh, joy. I hate that!

Hope you are going to have more fun than moi!

Simple is good -- enjoy.

Those are two stupid ads! Won't get my business.

HOLLY!

I thought we could be friends, but...

I CAN'T do puzzles!!!!!!
I HATE them.
I LOATHE them.
I really do.
Jake does them with the kids and I can't even stand to hang around.

But, I'll make an exception for you, let's just not do any when you are here okay?

Funny ads too. But how do they sell what they are aiming for? Who knows!

I'm not patient enough for jig saw puzzles but I have a sister-in-law who lives for them. She ordered one of those puzzles made up of your favorite photo -- her family (herself, her hubby and their two boys). When she received it and started putting it together, it became apparent that it was not her family but a similar group of four people. Oops, a mix-up at the Chinese factory where all occidentals look alike?

Of course, she just went ahead and put it together anyway.

Hope you're having fun.

The urinal shot is nasty. Shock sells? The word verification I got was "psess," co-incidentally.

Hi again,

Had to laugh at your viking comment... I'll explain. But no, not viking. GE is what we are getting. I can't get through your email for some reason right now. So maybe I'll tell ya on fb!

Those ads waste my time. Not sure of the reasoning behind it.

Hi Holly,

I've been trying to leave Tammy a comment for a couple days and blogger will NOT let me! I don't know why but I always have a problem trying to comment on her blog.

So can you tell her I saw the pumpkin post and I say, LOL that is funny, and I had my first pumpkin latte yesterday! And fix her blog so I can comment!

Thanks! :)

I'm late to the party, as usual. Here trashing my house for the next paint phase. Not sure how much longer I can hang on with this chaos.

Weird ads. I guess they figure the ad is a success if it makes you look to figure out what they're actually selling?

As of yesterday we tied for the most number of days 100 or more. Last week we had a few days under 100 where you could breathe, so I made chili.
