Quite Possibly the Only Serious Post I'll Ever Write

Every member of my family has battled cancer in one form or another.
I lost my mother to cancer.
My sister is a breast cancer survivor.
My father is fighting for his life right now.

My daughter, Katie, has joined up with the American Cancer Society with Relay for Life.
She will be running/walking to help raise money for cancer research on
April 30 - May 1st.

If anyone would be interested in making a donation it would be greatly appreciated.
You can go here to donate.
Click on "Donate to Participant".
Type in her name, Katherine May.
Her team is called "Coffee Lovers for a Cure".
Even if you can't donate, please leave her a comment here so she'll know she has your support.

Also, I know many of you have been praying for my Dad, please continue to keep him in your prayers.

Thank you

Holly

We have Relay For Life here in my small town and we 'sponsor' a girl every year who is walking.
Give a shout out to Katie for me...she's a hero.
And I send my best hugs to you and your Dad. And take care of YOU, too.

Love
Jan

Oh Holly, I will definitely keep your dad in my prayers. I'm sorry. Cancer is awful. I really do hope that one day they have a cure. For all of it. I am sorry I can't donate. I just made a donation for a little girl who was recently diagnosed with luekemia at age 3. It kills me that this stuff happens. But please tell your sister that I am wishing her well and hope she has a successful time.

Hi Holly. I am so sorry for the loss of your loved ones to cancer. And I have kept your Dad in my prayers. I lost my dear, sweet, wonderful Dad to cancer, 7 years ago. And I have had many other friends who have battled this in one way or another. Greg and I have decided a couple years ago that the best way for us to donate was to do it once a year, in one donation. We get so many requests for donations. I wish your beautiful daughter well!!!!

Oh my dear, Holly, I am just getting to know you through your stories, and I will keep you and your family, especially your dad, in my thoughts and prayers every day. Life is not perfect nor easy on some days, and even though the difficult days help us appreciate the simple moments of joy, they are never easy. So, know that you are surrounded by people, all over the world, who care about you and are thinking about you and your family today.

Lots of love!
Sarah

I will certainly keep your dad, and Holly and everyone else in my thoughts and prayers. My mom had breast cancer many years ago, and my aunt died of it. It's scary stuff.
