The Incredible Shrinking Pants

We have a problem around here.
Our pants are shrinking.
All of them.
Anyone have a tutorial on how to let out jeans?  No?
Ok then.
This calls for drastic measures.
I found a wonderful new diet that is supposed to really work.  I'm going to tell you about it.  Everyone that has ever tried it, I mean, every single person who has ever done this crazy new diet has lost weight and has become more healthy.  Because I love you, I will share it with you.
Ready?
Stop eating crap and increase your activity!
Crazy, right?  But it's supposed to work.
Let's just see about that.
Here's where we start:

Yes, that says 168!
It's okay, gotta start somewhere right?
(My father is totally freaking out right now because first of all, I weigh 168 and second, I'm posting this for everyone to see.  Breathe Daddy, it's okay.)
Eating healthy takes a lot of preparation.  I don't like preparation.

I cut up the following vegetables:
Red, green, yellow bell peppers
mushrooms
red onion
zucchini
yellow squash
garlic

Threw them in a bowl, added a touch of olive oil, salt and pepper.  Spread them out on a cookie sheet covered with nonstick foil.  (It would please me if you would use a really old blackened cookie sheet like the one I have.)

Cook at 450 degrees from about 30 - 40 minutes depending on how well done you like your veggies.

I also grilled some boneless skinless chicken breasts.  Throw some veggies, the chicken and some salsa in a whole grain tortilla.

It's not Burger King but it will do until my pants stop being so stupid.
I'm also doing this:

Which is equally stupid.
I have no coordination.  I'm going to break a hip.
I have a headache.  From the lack of eating crap, I'm sure.
My husband was being totally supportive while eating his bacon and eggs this morning.
Let's revisit that scale next Monday and see how things are going, shall we?

waaaa...it is so hard! I need to be locked away in a room where ther is no food for about a month! I do good on my jogging but portion control leaves a lot of improvement...all I did this weekend was eat brownies...maybe that is why I felt so tired...

I've been trying too....then I went on a youth group retreat this weekend and consumed chocolate chip cookies and caramel corn in mass quantities. Oops!

And yes, my cookie sheets are completely black and gross too. :)

I'm scared of my Wii fit because it remembers everything about me that I would like to forget, like the last time I used it and what I used to weigh.

Good for you! I don't like to think about these things but it's so true. We know what we should eat but we don't. I eat too many goodies! :)
I have an exercise bike right behind where I'm sitting and all I have to do is to get on it and pedal away. Do I do it? No no Nannette, I do not! :)
Thanks for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
shelia ;)

Okay - you have totally hooked me! I discovered your blog and have spent the last hour reading older posts. I want to receive your updates via e-mail, but don't see that option on your blog. Can you make that happen for me? Thanks! I've loved reading everything and adore your sense of humor (and your dad's too!) dmj53(at)hotmail(dot)com

Yep...I hear ya!!! I love to cook veggies like this, or on my grill pan inside. I too have done the healthy food stock up over the weekend!!! I am doing okay so far. If I do what i know I am supposed to do, I lose. Simple math. I hate math. I hate that I have to do this. Oh well. Healthy is important. I have a lot to live for!! Good luck to you. I will be featuring far more healthy foods on my blog!!!
To us....and getting back into our favorite jeans!

Been there ... many times ... not fun ... really upsetting. SO last winter I decided to fight the battle of the bulge one more time before I get too old to give a hoot. Did Weight Watchers on line and lost 40 lbs in a year. Still have 10 more to go to reach the weight I want and will get back on it again as soon as I can find the time and the proper foods. We just moved and I'm STILL unpacking and can't find anything! Good luck ... Blessings, Ann
