I Guess I'm Just a Romantic

Valentine's Day is not my favorite holiday.  I don't want to give in to all the hype.
I want flowers for "no reason".
Give me a card "just because".
I love romance just as much as the next woman.
However, I have a problem with a little naked cherub wielding a bow and arrow telling me what I should be feeling on a particular day in February.
I may be to Valentine's Day what the Grinch is to Christmas.
But still, I can't just let the day go by without acknowledging the love I feel for my husband.
I made him a card.

Makes you feel all warm and squishy inside, huh?

Very clever. He will love it. I feel the same way about Valentine's Day. I would get upset if my sweetie spent $70 on a dozen roses. Lucky he can't bring himself to spend that much either. Give me a rose bush like he did last year!!! Take care my friend!!

Love the card. So cute. I go the the GW at Grand and Bell Rd. in Surprise. One of my favorite hangouts. There are actually 2 there, but the one on Bell not so much. The one on Grand just west of Bell Rd. is where I find most things. Hugs, Marty

I know just what you are saying. I love me some roses and candy but I love it when he wants to do it on his own. Nothing like asking for a gift..ha! We always do little sweet things. Nothing big. May every day be a sweetie day for you :)

Ha! I'm not romantic either. Usually sometime the evening before Valentines Day, I remember, and say, "we're not getting each other anything, right?"
