Quiet Weekend

Not much to report.
We did a little yard work.
The grass thinks winter is on it's way
and has started to turn brown.
Little does it know,
we are back up to 100 degrees later this week.
It's time to clean out the pots
and put them away until spring.
Cleaned out the garage and am finally
ready for my garage sale this weekend.
The rocker and the tool chest aren't for sale
but everything else is.

Major Costco run.
I hate going so I stock up when I do.
Then plopped on the couch to watch NASCAR
with a bowl of this.
Homemade chili on top of Fritos
with plenty of cheese.

Heartburn City.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Chili looks good! Yay for a garage sale, I'm having a small one soon too! Mainly to get to the treadmill that has my crap piled all over it.

100+ digits in October, just wrong isn't it?

Miss ya already!

We had Turkey Pumpkin Chili last night for dinner (no beans). Pretty tasty. Apparently you and I were on some kind of vibe! Except you were watching NASCAR and I was watching World of Extreme Sports (kayaking/BMX/snowboarding, etc) on the tube. Kinda similar, huh?

My plants are still alive so I put them on the bench next to the shed thinking the deer would eat them and I would not feel so guilty about tossing them in the trash. Not so...the deer seem to like the nice flowers and left them alone. Something they wouldn't do if they were planted in the yard all summer. Dumb animals........

Hiking today up to the lake...hope there are a few leaves left after our storm.

Happy Garage Sale....hope you make a bundle!

Ok, why are you selling the cutting mat? The baskets with liners? You can paint the baskets, and remake liners! Erika and I are making some for her baskets now. She painted them black, and bought leopard print fabric for liners. Hey...you may need to rethink some of those sales!!!!!
Have a great week friend, and I too wish we could "plaY" and cruise the shops together!

The pots being put away is a downer (still in summer denial) but following up with chili makes it easy to forget!

Yeah, well, my pots are empty year round with dirt and no plants. It's an AZ thing. I'd trade any day your weekend for mind. Sigh! I'm still exhausted. Yard sale--ugh! work, work, work!

I'm upset that you didn't ask me round to share the chili!!

Don't listen to my Mom Holly!
Sell what you want.
She keeps all.
;)
Shhhh, don't tell her.

Sounds like a nice weekend!
We had a similar one, kinda quiet, home cooked meals, hanging out, except no Nascar on tv here, it was more like Phineas and Ferb and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Do you watch those? ;)

You were a busy girl. The chili looks great. I think I may make some tomorrow. If I were in AZ, I would totally go to your garage sale. I love the baskets and lanterns.

I'm impressed you have grass at all...good for you and very energetic week-end..oh, and if I lived closer? I'd be the first customer at the sale :-)

If I have to come home to a hundred degrees, I don't know what terrible thing I will do to myself. Or the weatherman. Of the sun gods who insist on burning every inch of Arizona.

BTW - it's supposed to rain here tomorrow.

Love the fact that you stockpile items when you go shopping. ME TOO! My daughter is moving to Arizona this weekend. It's going to be an adventure. Garage sales are always so much fun. All that haggling back and forth about the price. Never had chili with fritos. SERIOUSLY. Looks good. Next chilly night I'm fixing a bowl. Take care.
