Getting Ready For Summer

Ready or Not here it comes.
It's 4:00 pm and the thermometer on the patio
tells me it's 105 degrees in the shade.
Nice!!
A few weeks ago Brian and I took a drive out to Gilbert
and hit up a sweet little farmer's market.
And then we met Dad and Sally at
a great little BBQ restaurant in downtown Gilbert.
It's located in a 1929 brick building.
Delicious!

Much to my surprise,
Brian wanted to stop here on the way home.
An organizer's dream store.

But all that was going on while the weather was nice.
Now it's just hot, hot, hot.
I went to Home Depot today to replace some of my spring flowers
that didn't quite make it into the summer.

When we were at Lowe's last weekend,
we found this cute little bird bath.
Just perfect for our quail that are due to show up any day now.

And Brian built a holder for our
quail block so now it sits up high
on our back wall and the sprinklers don't hit it.

Thinking about cooling off now.
And getting ready for another busy week.

Have a great one!

Holly

Oh my...from one extreme to another. It's windy and very chilly here today in Indiana. It will be a few more weeks before I buy any summer flowers. Hope you have a good week!

That's the kind of bird feed I need around here. I never knew birds sucked down seeds so fast. I can't wait to put a birdbath near our feeder so it will be a little birdie retreat in our back yard!

Oh mercy, that is hot already. We hit 102 on Friday!!! Ugh!! But I hear that there is rain forecast for this week? Crazy. I am not ready for the heat, that's for sure! I love quail. They are so cute with their little topnotch!!!
I hope your Dad is feeling okay.
Miss ya,
Kris

Your flowers are soooo pretty. Love the bird bath. Aren't you just a ray of sunshine! Call me!
I love Joe's BBQ and Gilbert. I've been there! Imagine...

So glad you went to Joe's BBQ. His Farm Grill is my very favorite, all his 3 restaurants are good, including the Liberty Market across from the BBQ. I have consumed many delicious calories due to Joe.

Seen Joe's lots of times but have never been in there. I'm not a barbeque person. However, I'm loving that bird bath. That's exactly what I need in my front area. Thanks for the idea. :)

LOVE the bird bath. Great photos. I was surprised about your hubby wanting to visit a container store, though. LOL It was 35 degrees here last night. Sending cooler air your way. 105 in the shade. WOW! take care.

My Grandma always had birds in her backyard. I loved watching them at the birdfeeders. Now I have birds nesting in the carport. I think my car will stay cleaning if I stop parking there.

I live the birdbath and feeder.

Love The Container Store, but there's none around here...it's been cold and gloomy here...I'll take some of your sunshine! Have a great day!!

Hot here today, too. Hot enough to open windows, again. Supposed to storm all weekend. Maybe that will cool it down.
